Power Leveling
Guide
As a player progresses through the game, it's hard to
believe how many hours we can spend leveling.
In fact, the next time you login to your character, hit the
ENTER button on your keyboard and open up the chat box.
Type in /played and you will see your overall time on the
game and how long you've been on your current level.
When you see the results, it's just one of the many reasons
why you need to have a power leveling guide handy.
So if you're sick and tired of spending hours leveling your
characters, we've put together a few quick tips to help you
save some time. While some of them may only seem like seconds,
they will add up to hours throughout the game.
What it will eventually come down to is whether or not you
have the will power to continue leveling instead of heading to
the auction house or working on your professions.
Needs for Gold
In order to get to level 80 as fast as possible you need to
understand one thing about gold. Are you ready? You don't need
it! Well, you don't need to make any anyways.
Since you gain money from each quest (or most of them), it
will add up quickly. So stop spending 30 minutes in the auction
house trying to sell some of your loot. Even if you end up with
a high level item that is selling for a massive amount, just
stick it in your bank.
When you use a power leveling guide, the only thing you're
going to need money for is to train your character. Seriously,
before you start thinking of all the reasons why you're going
to need gold, we're telling you right now that it's not
important.
If you stick to this plan, you're already ahead of the game
and will find yourself leveling faster.
Drops for Armor
When you're working towards what feels like an elusive goal,
remember about your drops. There are going to be several quests
out there that drop Armor you can wear that is better than what
you have on right now.
Sticking to this plan will alleviate time spent in the AH
looking for new armor and spending money on it. If you don't
have to spend money, then you don't have to make gold.
Using a
Hearthstone
Most people have their hearthstones set to a major city like
Stormwind, Thunder Bluff, or any of the others. While that
might be great for when you need to train, you can use the
hearthstone to your benefit while questing.
It's one of the most overlooked areas in the game to save
time, but you can use it to your advantage. Any power leveling
guide will tell you the same thing.
No matter where you are, grab all the quests available in that
town. When you're ready to start questing around the area, head
towards the Inn Keeper and set your hearthstone to that
town.
This way you can go out, complete all the quests, then
hearth back to the town and turn them all in at once. It will
alleviate running back and forth which can take several minutes
whether or not you have a mount.
Get
the Flight Path
Anytime you find a new area, be sure to turn on your Flight
master icon. It's important to get the FP the first your there,
because those who don't have to run to the area again. Anything
to waste more time right? However, once you have a good supply
of FPs, you won't have to worry about running from place to
place any longer. So don't forget, because it's easy to
overlook.
Skipping Long Quest
Chains
No matter what class you are, there are long quest chains that
will come along eventually. Usually when you're finished you
will receive a nice reward, but it's not really worth it if
you're trying to level fast.
Even when you read a power leveling guide it will tell you
the importance of staying away from these. They usually have
you flying all over the place that could eat up an hour of your
time when it's all said and done.
The
Problem with Instances
Even though Instances can be very helpful when you're leveling
a character, they can take hours to do. However, if you want to
take advantage of all the XP that is available, you will want
to bring in three or four people.
You can definitely get an upgrade in your gear when you run
an Instance, but on a time and XP standpoint, it may take too
long.
The best way to combat this is to find someone who is has a
really high leveled toon. It's just one of the many reasons why
joining a guild is so important.
Unfortunately it doesn't work out well all the time, so if
you can't do it this way, then just stay away from them. There
are times when you can complete 10-15 quests and get more XP
for the amount of time you would be in one Instance.
Taking Action
If you can implement each one of these points into your
adventure, you will be able to level at lightning speeds.
However, this is only a small portion of all the tips available
when you read over a power leveling guide.
If you take advantage of everything a PLG has to offer, then
you will find yourself leveling in 6 days or less.
